Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Did you know all the amazing fall colors are always present in the leaves? Take in the exuberant colors of fall as you enjoy a ranger led hike. Our hike will cover about 1.3 miles along easy to moderate terrain. The surrounding deciduous forest should offer an array of color as Mother Nature prepares for winter.
Be sure to bring along your camera, binoculars, and plenty of water.

These hikes are free but space is limited. Please pre-register. Limit 25.

Advance registration required for this program. Please leave a message on the Visitor Center answering machine (540) 854-6245 with your name, how many in group, name of the program, date and time of program and your contact information.
