Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Experience Over 400 years of First Landing History in One Day
Shared by Kim Miller and Jennifer Huggins, as Guest Blogger.
Virginia State Parks is turning 75 years old, but during First Landing’s birthday celebration you can experience over 400 years of history that has occurred at First Landing.
While visiting them pick up a 75th Anniversary passport and get it stamped at each location then redeem your completed passport for a 75th Anniversary prize pack (limited to the first 100 participants). And of course it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake! The event and parking is free and concessions will be available through the Friends of First Landing. So come and celebrate with us!!
