RANDOLPH, Va. - Experience the magic of the holiday season as Staunton River State Park transforms into a winter wonderland during Lighting of the Bridge. This treasured annual event returns with even more lights, decorations and festive fun for the whole family.

“This year, we are enhancing the event with new lighting and decorative elements to create an even more captivating experience,” said David Gunnells, manager of Staunton River Battlefield State Park. “We invite guests to enjoy the wide array of activities available before or after viewing the beautifully illuminated bridge.”

Join us at the Clover Center Dec. 12, 13 and 14, where the park will be aglow with holiday cheer from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a free wagon ride to the bridge or stroll along a beautifully lit trail.

Activities include:

  • Free holiday crafts for kids.
  • A festive photo station.
  • Hot cocoa and seasonal refreshments for purchase inside the visitor center.
  • Guests can also create their own holiday wreaths for $10 per wreath.

Admission is only $5 per vehicle (cash only at the gate). Don’t miss this opportunity to make lasting holiday memories with family and friends.

Please note: This event is weather-dependent and may be canceled in the event of inclement conditions. For updates or questions, please call the visitor center at (434) 454-4312.
