Wind-Tidal Oligohaline Marsh (Big Cordgrass Type) - CEGL007741

Nearly monospecific stands of big cordgrass (Spartina cynosuroides) are characteristic of many wind-tidal oligohaline marshes on the North Landing River in Virginia Beach City.  This stand is located just north of the Pungo Ferry Causeway.
