Southern Blue Ridge Ultramafic Woodland – CEGL004968
One of a very few remaining stands of Southern Blue Ridge ultramafic woodland, characterized by warm-season grasses under an open stand of pitch pine (Pinus rigida), white pine (Pinus strobus), and post oak (Quercus stellata).  On a southwest-facing slope underlain by talc-tremolite schist and subtending Chestnut Creek in The Glades region of southeastern Grayson County.
