Beautiful, even-aged stand of Northern Coastal Plain Tidal Bald Cypress Forest along the western shore of the Chickahominy River a short distance below Walkers Dam in Charles City County.  The dense herb layer is dominated by autumn sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale, flowering) and swamp smartweed (Persicaria densiflora).
