Freshwater Tidal Hardwood Swamp – CEGL006287

A fairly typical tidal hardwood swamp, with swamp tupelo (Nyssa biflora) and pumpkin ash (Fraxinus profunda) over a dense and diverse shrub layer.  Along the lower reach of Swift Creek, near its confluence with the Appomattox River, Chesterfield County.
