DCR-DNH ecologists collecting plot data in a classic stand of the Salt Panne Type of Low Salt Marsh.  The short form of saltmarsh cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) and saltgrass (Distichlis spicata) co-dominate.  Cow Gut Flat, at North end of Wallops Island, Accomack County.  Wallops NASA Flight Facility.
