Tidal Freshwater Marsh (Mixed High Marsh Type) – CEGL006325

In late summer and early fall, the mixed high marsh along Accokeek Creek in Stafford County is dominated by showy composites - primarily smooth bur-marigold (Bidens laevis) and tall swamp marigold (Bidens trichosperma).  Crows Nest State Natural Area Preserve.
