Tidal Freshwater Marsh (Wild Rice - Mixed Forbs Type) – CEGL004202

An exemplary, wild rice (Zizania aquatica var. aquatica)-dominated fresh tidal marsh along north shore of the Mattaponi River opposite Scotland Landing, King and Queen County.  A narrow band of common spatterdock (Nuphar advena) is partially submerged along the channel at high tide.
