Tidal Freshwater Marsh (Arrow-Arum - Pickerelweed Type) – CEGL004706
The Pamunkey River drainage, in the central Virginia Coastal Plain, has some of the most extensive and pristine tidal freshwater marshes in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Here, a stand borders the channel of Holts Creek in New Kent County, with tidal hardwood swamp in the background.  Cumberland Marsh State Natural Area Preserve.
