Tidal Freshwater Marsh (Mixed High Marsh Type) – CEGL006325
The Ashton Creek marsh at Point of Rocks Park in Chesterfield County is exceptionally accessible via a 0.3-mile long floating boardwalk and exhibits nearly the full variation of fresh tidal marsh vegetation.  Here, marsh partridge-pea (Chamaecrista fasciculata var. macrosperma) patch-dominates in a diverse stand at the highest and driest elevations of the marsh.
