Southern Appalachian Red Spruce Forest (Deciduous Shrub Type) – CEGL007131

One of the older red spruce forests on Haw Orchard Mountain in Grayson Highlands State Park, Grayson County.  Most stands in this part of the Balsam Mountains were destroyed by logging and fires about 100 years ago, and are just beginning to re-establish today.
