Lush mosses and liverworts cover the trunks and branches of Fraser fir (Abies fraseri) trees on the summit of Mount Rogers (elev. 5729 ft) in Grayson and Smyth counties.  Lewis Fork Wilderness Area, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
