Fraser Fir Forest - CEGL006049

Although the Fraser Fir Forest on Mount Rogers has suffered some damage from air pollution and balsam woolly adelgid (Adelges piceae) infestation, as of 2017 the stand is still intact and has good recruitment of young firs.  Lewis Fork Wilderness Area, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
