Mountain wood-sorrel (Oxalis montana), mountain wood fern (Dryopteris campyloptera), and shining clubmoss (Huperzia lucidula) colonizing thick bryophyte mats in a red spruce forest on the north slope of Whitetop Mountain.  Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
