Appalachian Spray Cliff
A sandstone waterfall and nearby areas along the Cascades of Little Stony Creek in Giles County contain probably the most intensively studied bryological flora in Virginia.  Most of the work, however, has involved collections by taxonomists, and the rich bryoflora awaits study at the community level. Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
