Southern Appalachian Grassy Bald – CEGL004242

Thin-soiled habitats on and around rock outcrops probably supported the original grassy bald vegetation on Whitetop Mountain.  Buzzard Rock, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
