Loblolly Pine / Scrub Oak Sandhill Woodland

Grassy opening in the loblolly pine sandhill woodland at Chub Sandhill in Sussex County.  The site is being restored to longleaf pine vegetation, which likely occurred at the site originally.  Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve.
