Loblolly Pine / Scrub Oak Sandhill Woodland
Golden puccoon (Lithospermum caroliniense) flowering in a loblolly pine - hardwood sandhill woodland managed by prescribed burning.  This is the only southeastern sandhill plant that is disjunct to Virginia from South Carolina, skipping North Carolina.  Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve, Sussex County.
