DCR-DNH plot sample along the former bed of Carvins Creek, now part of the Carvins Cove Reservoir near Roanoke in Botetourt County.  Low-herb depositional bar vegetation that likely existed in small patches along the Creek, now covers acres in the seasonally exposed bed of the reservoir impoundment.
