Piedmont / Central Appalachian Sand Bar / River Shore (Low Herbs Type) – CEGL006483

Rice cutgrass (Leersia oryzoides), along with false pimpernel (Lindernia dubia var. dubia) and other low annuals, occupy part of a large sandbar that has been exposed for several weeks. The bar was an island in the Rappahannock River, on the Fauquier/Culpeper County line at Kellys Ford.
