Unlike the other two glassworts, which are annual herbs, woody glasswort (Salicornia ambigua) is a dwarf shrub that spreads into dense colonies with its creeping rootstocks and prostrate stems.  Magothy Bay State Natural Area Preserve, Northampton County.
