Big bluestem (Andropogon gerardii) and western sunflower (Helianthus occidentalis ssp. occidentalis) hang on the rim of an outcrop prairie in Mather Gorge, below Great Falls in the Potomac Gorge.  Great Falls Park, Fairfax County.
