Weathered log of northern white-cedar (arborvitae, Thuja occidentalis) among bulblet ferns on a rich dolostone slope along Walker Creek in Giles County.  Northern white-cedar is an occasional tree in rich cove forests on carbonate rocks in the Ridge and Valley region.
