Patches of evergreen mountain fetterbush (Pieris floribunda) and tussocks of turkeybeard (Xerophyllum asphodeloides) in a young, even-aged stand of table-mountain pine (Pinus pungens).  On sterile spur of Tinker Mountain above Carvins Cove Reservoir, Botetourt County.
