Central Appalachian Pine - Oak / Heath Woodland - CEGL004996

Highly stunted stand of pitch and table-mountain pines (Pinus rigida and P. pungens), with northern lowbush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium) and mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia).  On sandstone clifftop at Riven Rocks, elevation 4380 ft, on summit of Jack Mountain southwest of Doe Hill in northern Highland County.
