A nearly closed stand of even-aged, fire-suppressed pitch pine (Pinus rigida) over black huckleberry (Gaylussacia baccata) on the east ridge of Bull Run Mountain, south of Hopewell Gap, Prince William County.  Bull Run Mountains State Natural Area Preserve.
