Central Appalachian Pine - Oak / Heath Woodland – CEGL004996

A very steep, very dense stand of pitch pine (Pinus rigida) and bear oak (Quercus ilicifolia) on a west-facing spur of Brown Mountain, on the Northern Blue Ridge in Rockingham County.  Shenandoah National Park.
