Piedmont Upland Depression Swamp (Pin Oak - Swamp White Oak Type) - CEGL004643

An exsiccated, mid-summer upland depression swamp in western Fairfax County.  Woolly sedge (Carex pellita) is the dominant graminoid under an open stand of pin oak (Quercus palustris).  Rock Hill District Park (Fairfax County Park Authority).
