Piedmont Upland Depression Swamp (Pin Oak - Swamp White Oak Type) – CEGL004643
The pin oak - swamp white oak type of Piedmont upland depression swamp occurs on hardpan soils weathered from mafic igneous and metamorphic rocks and calcareous metasiltstone, primarily in the northern Virginia Triassic (Culpeper) Basin.  This stand is on diabase south of Sudley Springs in Manassas National Battlefield Park, Prince William County.
