Piedmont-Mountain Small-Stream Alluvial Forest (unclassified)

Fairly rich herbaceous growth under sycamores (Platanus occidentalis) in a small-stream forest over limestone. Along Big Cedar Creek in Pinnacle State Natural Area Preserve, Russell County. Much inventory and classification work is needed for small-stream forests in southwestern Virginia.
