Northern Blue Ridge Montane Alluvial Forest – CEGL006255

Rocky alluvial forest along the headwaters of Robinson River at the foot of White Oak Canyon in Madison County, Shenandoah National Park.  Despite appearances, this forest is fairly species-rich and is subject to occasional flash flooding.
