Northern Piedmont Small-Stream Floodplain Forest – CEGL006492

Small-stream floodplain forest along Dead Run near the George Washington Memorial Parkway (Turkey Run Park) in Fairfax County.  This stand is rather rich, with dense colonies of yellow trout-lily (Erythronium americanum ssp. americanum) in the spring.
