Piedmont / Central Appalachian Floodplain Swamp (Pin Oak - Swamp White Oak Type) – CEGL006497

The Pin Oak - Swamp White Oak Type of floodplain swamp occurs uncommonly in the Northern Piedmont and northern half of the mountains.  This stand occupies a slough in the floodplain of Back Creek near DeHaven in Frederick County.
