Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica) and golden ragwort (Packera aurea) brighten an early spring rich floodplain forest along Vaughns Creek, just upstream from its confluence with the Appomattox River in Prince Edward County.  Featherfin Farm State Wildlife Management Area.
