Piedmont / Central Appalachian Silver Maple Forest – CEGL006217

Silver maple (Acer saccharinum) forest on sloping bank of the Potomac River near the mouth of Bullneck Run in Fairfax County.  The herbaceous flora will become much coarser as the summer progresses.
