Eastern needlegrass (Piptochaetium avenaceum) and little-headed nutrush (Scleria oligantha) co-dominate the herb layer of the Southern Piedmont Hardpan Forest at Turkey Run Natural Area of Cumberland State Forest (Cumberland County).
