A Southern Appalachian chestnut oak forest with great rhododendron (Rhododendron maximum) and black huckleberry (Gaylussacia  baccata) in the shrub layer.  Ridge spur of Brushy Mountain, southwest of Ceres, Bland County.  Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
