Rose azalea (Rhododendron prinophyllum) punctuates a colony of interrupted fern (Claytosmunda claytoniana) beneath an open stand of northern red and white oaks (Quercus rubra and Q. alba).  Adjacent to Skyline Drive near Pinnacles Overlook, Rappahannock County, Shenandoah National  Park.
