Non-Riverine Wet Hardwood Forest (Southern Coastal Plain Type) – CEGL007449
Seasonally saturated flatwoods with switch cane (Arundinaria tecta) forming a low ground cover, possibly resprouting following a local fire the previous year.  The cane is a major component in the Southern Coastal Plain Type of non-riverine wet hardwood forests.  The Nature Conservancy's Benefit Preserve, City of Chesapeake.
