Fairly diverse herbaceous vegetation, including New York fern (Parathelypteris noveboracensis) and may-apple (Podophyllum peltatum) under swamp chestnut oak (Quercus michauxii).  Moss Swamp, at western edge of the Great Dismal Swamp, City of Suffolk. Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.
