Central Appalachian Low-Elevation Acidic Seepage Swamp – CEGL007853
Cinnamon fern (Osmundastrum cinnamomeum) and skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) under red maple (Acer rubrum) in an acidic seepage swamp at headwaters of Beaver Creek, in Blue Ridge foothills of Nelson County.  The substrate is weathered from metasandstone.
