Skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus), marsh marigold (Caltha palustris var. palustris), and beneath them, golden saxifrage (Chrysosplenium americanum) growing under black ash (Fraxinus nigra) in an early-spring view of the basic seepage swamp at the head of Wildcat Hollow on the Northern Blue Ridge (Fauquier County).  G.
