Central Appalachian Basic Seepage Swamp – CEGL008416
The stand of Central Appalachian Basic Seepage Swamp at the head of Wildcat Hollow on the Blue Ridge in Fauquier County is probably the largest and highest-quality example of this community type in Virginia. Like many stands of the type, it is developed over base-rich metabasalt colluvium. G. Richard Thompson State Wildlife Management Area.
