Appalachian Xeric Calcareous Cliff – CEGL004476

Dry, exposed cliff face of Conococheague Formation limestone, subtending Buffalo Creek south of Lexington in Rockbridge County.  The cliff face supports a sparse vascular community while more ledgey habitats above support northern white-cedar woodland.
