Central Appalachian Basic Ash - Hickory Woodland – CEGL003683

Metagabbro outcrop in woodland, with little bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium var. scoparium), hairy lipfern (Myriopteris lanosa), and Piedmont fameflower (Phemeranthus piedmontanus). At northeast end of Grassy Hill, just north of Rocky Mount in Franklin County.
