Sandstone clifftop pavements in the Russell Fork Gorge in Dickenson County support open woodlands of Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana), scattered heath shrubs, and sparse herbaceous plants growing in cracks and crevices.  Breaks Interstate Park.
