Appalachian Xeric Pine Outcrop Woodland – CEGL004821

Xeric pine outcrop woodland on crest of Walker Mountain, south of Mechanicsburg in Pulaski County.  Pennsylvania sedge (Carex pensylvanica) is the only herb with significant cover, and heath shrubs are frequent. Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
