Central Appalachian Xeric Chestnut Oak - Virginia Pine Woodland – CEGL008540
Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) is a northern/boreal subshrub that is disjunct to the acidic woodland on Millers Head in Shenandoah National Park.  It is also known from isolated stations in West Virginia and Maryland, but does not occur further south in the Appalachians.
